Looks like they know what they are expecting:ADVICE: Umbrellas at Oasis concert
The Ricoh Arena would like to request fans visiting the stadium for the Oasis concert on Tuesday, July 7 do not bring along umbrellas for use in the stadium bowl.
For reasons of health and safety, and to ensure the best viewing experience possible for all visitors, those carrying umbrellas will not be permitted access to the stadium bowl.
Have fun! They are absolutely brilliant live
YAY!
Im going to Wembley on Sunday night. Husband is a HUGE fan and this will be the third time i have seen them. Once at Brighton Centre (was ste) and once at Manchester stadium (was rocking!)
I didnt experiance the piss throwing at either but i am fully aware it happens. As a short arse im hoping i will fair a bit better than the rest!

Ok the beer and piss throwing thing I am seriously uncool with, is this only right at the front?
Largely. The other thing to watch with Oasis gigs is everyone moving forward about 6ft when they come on stage.
Saw them with The Verve at Earls Court in 96 the pushing etc did me in, entirely uneccessary.

best one ive ever seen , and even enemy were quality aswell a truely great warm up for oasis
all good apart from the beer and piss throwing though :P
Can't agree enough.... Oasis were on top, top form. When Noel gave it "I'd like to dedicate this next song to myself... because i'm f**king brilliant" I can't help but agree with him. Clearly the driving force behind the band. Absolutely awesome , i mean 11 on the scale!

You can tell hes still in awe of his influences with the comments about being at the Ricoh two months ago to watch the Specials and the cover of I am the Walrus.

Am going to Wembley on Saturday. I can't actually think of a gig in the last 5 years or so where the piss-throwing DIDN'T happen, so will be seeking a non-piss-target area. It's the same at every single gig these days. I get home and the first thing I do is chuck everything I've worn in the wash and get myself in the shower.

Went last night really enjoyed it. Dont get the need for chucking p155 about though. Some of the nearly full plastic pint glasses thrown over the edge of the stands into the tier below must have hurt when landing on your head.
EFA.There's no way on earth that anyone in the stands would have carefully carried a pint up there just to lob it. Nor is there any way that someone full of beer would carefully pick their way out through the crowds to the gents.
Re where to stand to avoid - if it's the same layout as usual, i.e. last year, then I can only guess at standing slightly to the right or left of the stage, back behind the mosh, but clearly forward enough to be clear of the stands!
Went to Wembley on 11th July - took my nephew as a birthday present.
We had seats probably as far back, but directly in line with the stage that you could have (couldn't quite make out Tony Hetherington at the front) to be honest I couldn't fault the location you could see the whole stadium erupt to the favourites and the atmosphere was electric from the front to the back, the left to the right.
Reverend and the makers, not my cup of tea
Kasabian very good
Oasis no faults whatsoever
Left almost at the same time as the last word of Champagne Supernova 10:20 (scheduling adjusted as The Enemy have swine flu or something) was in the car which I'd left at Denham by 10:45 and that is with stopping to get t-shirt...most impressed at my (or chiltern railways timing)
