I think this kind of topic is too good not to be a repost.
But still it's worth a go smile

I'll start the ball rolling with Tom Morello, my favourite by far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cEeCsduGdo

Tracii Guns for his playing on 'LA Guns' and 'I'm Addicted' from 'Cocked and Loaded'
Slash for his genius at hitting just the right note.
Doug Aldrich for being a sober,spit-free (and better) version of Zakk Wylde
John Petrucci when only shredding will do
Reeves Gabrels for the stunt guitar

Away from the predictable Satch/Vai/Blackmore/Page/Slash/insert guitar god name here worship which always ensues when this topic comes up anywhere (me inluded usually!) for a more esoteric selection I'd go for Sammy Pierre Duet (ex Acid Bath and Crowbar, current Goatwe guitarist), Ihsahn from Emperor, Steve Von Til and Scott Kelly from Neurosis, Mikael Akerfeldt and Peter Lindgren from Opeth as favourites of mine.
