I agree that Metallica are absolutely fantastic, the Black Album being top of the pile, and always in my autochanger, fantastic diving music...
I'm also a mahoosive fan of Led Zep, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Saxon, Gary Moore... the list goes on..


Frankly rock, in all of its many varied guises, is the greatest genre of music. Fact.

I'd only say Foo Fighters were under-rated to 'older' rock fans, very popular with the kids and on/with Radio One. It does help that Dave Grohl seems a genuine and talented bloke.

I only really like 2-3 songs by them.

No, Metallica aren't versatile enough to earn that moniker.
