Worst album covers EVER
Discussion
In comparison to some of their other sleeves which have been frankly great, these two duffers from a favourite of mine:
First, the "keep fit" sleeve for "The Collection 1977-1982". Original test artwork had a sleeve that emulated the earlier "Live (X-Cert)" album and was much, much nicer, and used in some other countries and for some shop window displays. Inexplicably the local ones had this stunner. Anyone guess the link between the sleeve and the contents, a "greatest hits" compilation? No, nor me.
And then a few years later, from the "what? we need a new album cover from scratch? We were just going out to lunch" school of graphic design, the clip-art magnificence of "About Time". It even features the spurious white line around the band logo, reminiscent of cheap knock-off T-shirts that need it to stop the red bleeding through onto the background.

Yes, that one's pretty bad. This one was getting a bit of a ragging in another forum - Renaissance, A Song for All Seasons. It's not bad as such, more bland, and I'd never have guessed Hipgnosis were involved:First, the "keep fit" sleeve for "The Collection 1977-1982".
