Grate lyrics...

After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]

Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shared what I made

I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]

Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well

Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest

Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well

Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are

I'll probably be cremated, so I want the Thunderbirds theme tune to play while the furnace doors open and the coffin trundles into it.

Can't imagine why there'd be anyone there to listen other than my wife, so I'd want Mike Oldfield's Ommadawn (side 2 from 5 minutes in) as it's my favourite piece of music ever and the first I ever played to her when we started going out (she spectacularly hated it, prefers the likes of Public Enemy!).

I'd also hope to have written a properly good piece of music by then which would make it's debut there.

A friend of mine had a great idea which I wouldn't mind stealing, if I'm cremated: Fire Water Burn by Bloodhound Gang, played as the coffin's going in to the oven.

Apologies if this has already been the subject of one of the mystery links.

"We don't need no water let the mother fker burn. Burn, motherfker, burn!"

Good one and just about to post it.

If i'm ever buried at sea could have the Stingray theme.
"Anything can happen in the next half hour!"

But realistically probably some opera

"Di Quella Pira" Il Trovatore
"In Fernem Land" Lohengrin

Possibly even me singing some G&S, guaranteed to crucify everyone due to the soppy lyrics! Not a dry eye in the house!
