No secret hehe

I use MixMeister Studio
Do you use a controller or is it all via keyboard / mouse?

Reason I ask, for the last 4ish years, I ran an old version of Virtual DJ which was pretty basic and done most of the work itself. I've just bought a new laptop and looking to find software which would give the lazyness of VirtualDJ (3.4 I think the version was) but also be able to go advanced in the future and allow USB Mixer control etc.

Traktor?

Serato?

Serato is probably the better one, use it with some virtual vinyl if you like to "feel" your music. There are so many options for USB inputs that something is bound to suit. http://serato.com/

I've heard a few people mentioning Traktor. I will have a trial tonight and see how it fairs. Ideally I want something which would enable a novice to mix (does the beatmatching etc by itself) but also have the added capability of a Pro set up that could utilise a USB controller.

Thanks for the suggestions btw smile

Hello Big Dub. Another quick question. Where do you (cough) purchase (cough) your music from? smile

I have seen some websites like dance-tunes.com and audiojelly.com which don't seem too expensive. Do you know of any others? Thanks.

Just stumbled upon this thread and am about to start downloading. Some great looking tracklistings there just a shame I feel too old to get out and start enjoying music in clubs again.

I'm 32 but everywhere that had a decent Trance night up here has closed or now does house music only. The last time I really did anything that can be called clubbing was 2 years ago when we did a stag 'weekend' to Ibiza that started and finished with trips to Amnesia for Cream nights.

Any opportunity for me & I am there with the glow sticks. I will stop when I pysically can't do it anymore. biggrin

Trance music does seem to be loved by people ALL ages & I have witnessed people in their 60's still living it large. biggrin

I haven't been to a 'proper' night for a few years now (last one was Armin Van Buuren in Nottingham in June 2008). However, i'm on the hunt now for another good night out.

AvB is in England on the 30th Sept (can't remember where at this moment), but i'm away on holiday then. Doh!

Aly and Fila are in Leeds on the 7th October though scratchchin . Could be good.

Gatecrasher? I remember (sort of) going to that. God it was rammed.

Speaking of glow sticks, I went to put some jeans on yesterday and found two worn out glow sticks in the back pocket from last weekend heheboxedin

Once again Big Dub, Your Classic Trance mix was a great warm up at mine. thumbup

nono Shame on you DS, glowsticks should always be given to the nearest hottie before you leave any club! Unless ofcourse you have stayed for the duration & the glowsticks have burnt out. hehe
