so is this just a hobby, or do you make money doing gigs at clubs and stuff? were you doing this as a way of advertising yourself or just for fun?

what about youtube? or spotify, or is there any other "sites" where you could make advertising moneys through them? do you need to pay royalties to the original artists too? i've always wondered how that works with DJ's, whether it was a mutual advertising thing...

It's purely a hobby. I used to DJ many years ago, and have continued my love for trance/dance music. I was fed up of getting albums and only liking a third of the tracks, so decided to do my own mixes, which then turned into podcasts.

Ok, well who would chip in? Once we know that then we might be able to work out a way of doing it. Do you need to host them on that website, can we disseminate them in a cheaper way?

If the podcasts are cut down to either 1 or 2hrs and just once a month, then the subscription plan on the host site can be cut to $15/mth

Was having a think about this on the way home in the car (while listening to your podcasts I might add.)

I could afford a little donation but probably not regularly, and Idon't have any hosting bandwidth to offer but I do on my home broadband connection.

Have you thought about torrenting these? I can seed and if you get others to do the same your costs should go down... people can download them overnight etc...
