Some of Rob's older sets are some awesome vocal trance. I often listen to them in the car.

Rob - maybe you need to make some of them available again on your Dropbox? I realise space is limited though.

The trouble with hosting Rob's mixes is copyright issues, which is why I have shied away from offering to.

Edit: That and size. The complete collection of Rob's mixes is 28GB

Probably not. Just the thought of having to trawl through a load of mixes to decide which ones to use.... spin

Cygnus X - Superstring
Rank 1 - Airwave
Binary Finary - 1998

Cheers, hope you enjoy it, was the first time I had done a trance set in about 15 years and it brought back a lot of memories, from what I gather the scene is having a semi-revival

Wow what a set list! I'll be having a listen tonight.

I recently went to my GF's friend's house whose BF has his own decks and records, so he let me have a go. It brought back so many memories and I really, really wish I'd never sold mine and all my records as I'm seriously considering buying them all again... which will be expensive!

I still have the same decks I bought in 2000 (vestax pdx 2000) but have added a controller thing to them which doubles up as a standard mixer. Unfortunately I got rid of about 4000 vinyl and only have about 1000 left, they rarely get used but I just like having them despite the arguments with the girlfriend on if it's the best use of the spare room biggrin

Does anyone here still go out who is getting on a bit? I'm 37 and still go to the occasional night, maybe 4-5 times per year. The recent increase in day event has been part of the driver behind it, places like Printworks finishing at 11pm means I can be in my own bed by a reasonable time, can't do 6am anymore!

Gatecrasher still do trance nights but the brand is not the same as the 2000s. Apparently there was a physical altercation between staff and DJ's recently over money.

I wish I'd kept my records, that's for sure. People at the time told me 'never ever sell your records' but I never listened!

I can't cope with the late nights any more, although I did enjoy myself in Benidorm last year reliving my youth and popping a few XXXXX

If there was a place near me that played old school dance, trance and hard house I'd be all over it!

I'm 37 in a couple of months and still go to about the same number of events as yourself and agree the daytime things have helped with that. I did the Butlins cream weekender at the start of December and whilst it was brilliant it wrote me off for a week
