Wondering if any of you Trance guys could have a listen to this and answer a couple of questions for me, I'm not
that familiar with trance stuff and its sub-genres but occasionally hear something that sounds pretty immense, this
track is one of them, but in particular a certain section.

So the question's to the Trance experts are....

What type of trance is this, I know it's called Trance and Acid, but I have listened to other stuff called the same
but it sounds nothing like this, is it era specific maybe?

The 2nd question is this, the part beginning at 0:50 seconds / ending around 1:18 to my ears is one of the very best
trance type pieces I have ever heard, so can anyone recommend anything else that sounds similar to this to add to my
sadly limited trance folder. https://youtu.be/DBAQRY1MTUY

Thanks in advance.
Sounds like what Lost Tribe - Gamemaster was to Quench's 'Dreams', but they've done this to Misjah's Tripping Out..

I had a look through each page of the thread, couldn't see the original trance mix, MFS Trip mentioned. The beginning is a bit off, but from 24:50-ish onward it starts to kick in. The video also helped with it's legendary status, nothing like it before.

Add these outstanding choons to the end for a proper original experience:

Was never a huge fan of Oakenfold, but credit where credit is due, he absolutely smashed his JDJ mix, a great representation of when trance and techno was mixed with the hands in the air house choons to create some amazing nights. Start off with the house / classics to get everyone on he floor and warmed up. Then wind things up when the disco biscuits kicked in, then put your eyes in the back of your head, turn bottom jaw into sawdust and take you on a one way ticket to another land:

Amazing times... smile

Is there an archive of Rob's mixes anywhere? I just had a look at the old links and they are now gone.

I'm regretting only downloading a few of them when I had the chance.

Edit - Looked a couple pages back and they can still be downloaded from the dropbox link a couple pages back

Well a few of them anyway.

Kind of. I have a private copy of every episode, not just his podcasts but his earlier mixes too, but I do not host them publicly for copyright reasons.

However, if Rob has mislaid any of them I can pass them to him.

Cheers.

The ones in the dropbox will keep me going for a while. I like to download stuff as I don't have internet in my garage / gym.
