Cheers, I'd never heard Tension by Ilan Bluestone until I heard your mix. Epicness of many, many proportions!

Rob I have some questions I have always wondered about DJs and the like.

How much time do you spend listening to music to find good tracks, how do you keep track of what is what? do you remember them all? I used to be able to do track and artist names for my first few albums but cant remember anything anymore as I listen to too much.

Do you have to spend millions of pounds buying tracks or do you get sent them by artists as promotion?
How many tracks do you have in your collection lol?

1. I get my tracks from Beatport, so listen to all the new trance releases every Monday. I also subscribe to about 13 trance podcasts and make a note of any tracks I like, so you could say I spend quite a while listening to music. Years ago when I was DJing with vinyl, I used to remember all the tracks and knew what would mix with what, but I seem to struggle nowadays to remember tracks and I'm crap at track names.

2. I used to spend a lot when I was doing 3hr mixes every 2 weeks, but things are more manageable now that I'm only doing a 2hr mix every month.
I'm doing this as a hobby, so don't get any free tracks unfortunately. I was getting fed up with only liking a few tracks on albums and podcasts, so decided to make my own. As for how many tracks, I've no idea, I just download them then add them all to a folder on a portable hard drive.

Hope this answers your questions hehe

I have done another one, but I've been mulling over if it's worth uploading as the last 2 podcasts have each only been downloaded by 5 people.

How you advertising it? just in this thread? do you get anything back by people visiting your download page?

As well as on here, I put the link on 4 other sites I'm on, plus numerous dj pages on FB and groups on Soundcloud. I've got about 160 followers on my page on FB, but that obviously doesn't count for much.
