Wasn't sure about it upon first impressions but it's grown on me like a ravenous mutant tumour. Good album, red violins is a personal favorite and have mercy is just such a beautiful song.
Still waiting for the right time to listen to it from start to finish a few times. Red violins is rather good.

Today I'm enjoying this cover of Dancing In The Dark by Eddie Berman and Laura Marling

'Cannonball Run Theme' by Chuck Mangione.

Great to drive to work to, although I don't have a Countach, a Dino or a V8 Ambulance. More's the pity.

Haha...I spent the last 8 years listening to that track more times than you could ever imagine......for obvious reasons!

thumbup One of my favourite films ever, and I eventually got hold of the theme by tracking down 'The Best of Chuck Mangione' in the Virgin Megastore in San Diego in 2000, as it was (for me) pre-internet days and it couldn't be had anywhere in the UK as far as I could work out. Just found it again as it's been in storage for the past year for various reasons.

I also still want the opening song, by Rav Stevens - 'It Ain't what You Do....' - but I can't find that one anywhere, UK, US, internet.

Finally listened to it a few times in a row. Had it on at full blast on my drive home last night to drown out the drone from my blowing downpipes.

Helter Skeleton is a personal favourite for me. 1000 years, Get Hurt, Stray Paper and Rollin' and Tumblin', Red Violins and Break Your Heart are the standout tracks for me. Need to get my ticket booked for one of their Manchester shows in November. Very tempted by the pre show package, gets you access to the soundcheck which would be pretty cool.

Warning: Pics of norks.

Very good, very 80's! It reminds me of stuff like New Order's Touched By The Hand Of God and Cock Robins The Promise You Made.
