Johny Cash 's version of Roberta Flack's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Absolutely amazing.
The stuff Johnny Cash recorded later in his life is just so heartfelt, Personally I like his rendition of 'you are my sunshine' from the 'Unearthed' album McArthur Park off the John Cooper Clarke/Hugh Cornwall collaboration 'This Time it's Personal' - from 4.10 on especially of interest to any Tull fans

The album is actually a really listenable and pretty faithful (flute heroics aside) compilation of standards done respectfully and with clear enjoyment. A bit of a minor gem in my book. Well recommended

Made me think of this cover. A while since I last heard it. Acoustic (don't usually like acoustic) version, but I do admire the late great Stuart Adamson.

Not posted in here, but over the last 24 hours I've listened to Hurt by Johnny Cash so much after hearing it in the Logan movie trailer.
Can't recall ever hearing it before

The Armed - "No Rest Until Ruin"
Its a heavy tune so will probably not be to the taste of most people, but I love it.
On the flip side I watched Gone baby gone the other day on netflix and this song played on the closing credits
