So, played a gig last night with Headless Kross and Okus. Both worth checking out by the way. However, Chuck Mosley turned up (having met him in the pub previously) for our set. This is my new claim to fame.

:-)

Been in a "post-metal" kinda vibe recently. New Alcest album is shaping up to be excellent, also started listening to Night Verses who are brilliant and also Long Distance Calling.

I had a quick spin and thought it was unrelentingly awful. To be fair, I'm not a fan of any of the folk involved. I adore AIC, but besides a few songs here and there, the new stuff has been a total snore-fest.

Volbeat for me of late, their current album is probably their best yet.

Also, received the latest Airbourne which as anyone who's heard them will know, they are simply a faster, slightly heavier AC/DC but you know what you're getting and they have some great riffs. Superb live as well.

The new Meshuggah is SO HEAVY! Clearly not going soft in their advancing years. So far I'm loving it, but usually takes a while for a new 'Shugg to sink in properly.
