The new Ministry song sounds like a return to form! I saw them live about 10 years ago and it was without a doubt the
loudest concert I have ever been to!

Like that a lot.

Saw them a couple of years back...some of the new stuff is hit-and-miss, but the second half of the show was all the classics...they were on-form, and the room went fking wild! biggrin

Dethklok has released Dethalbum IV today to go with a feature length movie. Sweet!

If you're a metalhead and you've not been exposed to the Metalocalypse TV shows, I recommend you give it a go. It beautifully skewers all metal tropes and manages to create some pretty epic tunes along the way.

I've never watched it but heard a few of the songs.
If you search "Batmetal" on YouTube, they have some awesome videos to go with the songs.

No idea what that's all about but love the guys on the confederate hobby horses and the guy at the back with the pink mop & hood.

I'm not sure I'd look for too much meaning in Ministry songs...well, not much beyond occasionally taking a pop at the US right wing / establishment. I mean, their most famous song is "Jesus Built My Hotrod", half the lyrics of which were made up on the spot by the lead singer of the Butthole Surfers while off his head on...something! hehe

This week, I have mostly been listening to Bloodywood and (new to me) Softplay.

Very different in style, but both are energising and angry

Sounds like the upcoming Whitechapel album is going to be proper heavy, a bit of contrast to the last 2.

I've got tickets for Glasgow.
Pity its at SWG3 though - unless they've made changes to the inside its just a big brick and tin shed so not the best for sound.

I was at swg3 the other night and sound was fantastic, seen others with terrible sound. My biggest complaint is where it is, what a pain to get too.

Not sure what one of the 3 halls thy art Is murder are playing.

I saw Opeth there in 2019 and while the band were great I thought the sound was affected by the building.
That wasn't long after it opened though, perhaps they've done something to help.
