Also been giving Craft's "Terror Propaganda" another spin, as it sort of fell down the cracks for me before.

Must be said, I think that track is all the more atmospheric for not having vocals. The second half especially makes my spine tingle.
Would have been better if they'd put the drummer in the same studio as the guitarists, and not next door.

That sounds awesome - distinctly Meshuggah but a real groove to the riff - album will be purchased this weekend! smile
Listened to nothing else since I got the album a couple of days ago. Gets better and better.

Must get this soon, I must admit I saw live but it was in '96 when they supported Machine Head at Brixton Academy. I might have to see if I can make it to this tour, they were sthot live from what I remember.

Hope this is not too "soft" for this thread, but I just love these stoner doom guys :
Toner Low from NL, VERY heavy, with a strange story about a machine going berzerk at the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2bk-IQCOdg

Following Toner Low, there is only one track that can keep up with it´s heavyness : Raiford (the felon) by Earth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDz_EvsOe-A

Are/were there any other bands around that have liquid lead pouring out of the speakers
while still having a bluesy note ?
Yeah, I know of the band with the flying object, like them, but sometimes they are not heavy enough.

Seen them a few times now. Twice in Sweden. Outstanding would be the word.

OMFG - what an album! Meshuggah have really outdone themselves this time - possibly some of the heaviest tracks of all time but sooo groovy.

(Just don't call 'em djent else Tomas Haake will be round pronto to give you a slap!! lol)

I know that's a favourite, for some reason '...For Victory' has always been my pick of the albums.

Woods of Ypres - Adora Vivos
Just found this band only to discover the singer was killed recently.
They sound like a cross between Type O Negative & Paradise Lost.
