If it's lyricism you want then there's few who can match Lupe fiasco. Check out his two albums 'the cool' and 'food & liquor' he recently released a third one called 'lasers' but it's naff compared to these two.

I was a big hip-hop fan when I was younger, but I lost interest when gangster rap really started to take over (altough I liked N.W.A etc when they first came on the scene)and became a metalhead.
