I've been loving this tune lately. On the surface it's a blatant copy of a mid 90's New York song. You've got the filtered samples, hard drums, army gear, Timberlands, Motorola flip phones, ice hockey jerseys, people jumping over fences in slow motion and high rise flats. They even remembered to blur out some of the clothes logos.

But it's not that. It's the fact that in this day and age of nursery style raps and acting dumb for the current music audiences around the world a popular group like A$AP Mob have decided to lead with a track that is so raw sounding. Remove all the glamour and glitz and over dramatic sounding music and all that you're left with is the lyrics.

If you love the Wu, Nas, G Rap, Black Moon, Mobb Deep etc then this is for you. It has that old vibe but sounds current.
