I was an old skool DnB lover as a young teen, but drifted into Garage before it became commercialised crap, then in the last 2-3yrs re-found my love for DnB, but again less commercial stuff, more of a liquid, mellow lover.
Basically anything by or like Pendulum, is tripe.
When are Brookes Brothers actually going to bring out an album? Or have i missed it!
Here's something alot better;
Labyrinth
And another couple of mellow favourites;
Netsky - Memory Lane
Calibre - Into the Groove
Mistabishi - From Memory (Matrix Remix)

Yup, they don't seem to be capable of making a bad tune! It's been eagerly awaited for ages! I read about a year ago it was forthcoming, but no idea what happened to it though!
Tear You Down was and still is a blinding track, and there's loads more!
Mistakes
Drifter
Hard Knocks

^As you can tell, I don't really have a definitive style of DnB I like. I suppose it's mainly liquid? Very biased towards Hospital Records though!
On that note, some Elek:
Pussy Galore
All Hell Is Breaking Loose
Just One Second
^Probably my favourite DnB tune of all time.
I've recently updated my Essential Mix collection as I was getting a bit sick of the stuff on my iPod, I've so far had a quick listen to Netsky's EM and Danny Byrds EM - Netsky I'm not quite so sure of. Danny Byrd though, I've only listened to 30 mins or so and it's very good - just a shame he seems to be going the opposite way with his own stuff I see Pendulum did another EM, I loved their first one (Pendulum were the band who got me into DnB and I still do like their mix from 2005.

TBH they pretty much dominate!Hospital only have 3 decent artists on there roster. Logistics, Nu:tone, and Cyantific.
Hospital used to be a force within the Drum and Bass scene but have been going downhill in the last 5 years. They now seem to only cater for the Student wearing fluorescent clothing and glowsticks masses.
There are many other much better DnB labels out there with artists producing much deeper and soulful 'Liquid DnB' as most would call it.

There are much better liquid producers than the Hospital artists. For me, Seba is one of the best (posted a few of his tunes already)

Any thing by Calibre is normally brilliant, he is a Don of DnB.

Yep, Seba is definitely one to look out for. Theres a remix he did with Kirsty Hawkshaw that was very good.

You're right, Calibre really is a Don of chilled DnB. Overeaction is one of my favourites from him.
Heres a few lesser known artists to add to the thread. They often make better tunes than the better know artists IMO:
Dave Owen - Still Waters
Technicolour - Empty
Muzzy - Life Is Strange
Fracture Design - You Are Far Away
Dimension - Build My World
InContext - Io

I am well aware of peoples opinions on them, and having heard Danny Byrds new se that they've got playing 24/7 on mainstream radio stations - comparing it to his 'Supersized' album makes me sad
An artist I am particularly fond of is Utah Jazz though, not entirely sure why but I love their stuff!

TBH i'm a relative newbie to it too, and perhaps my comment was unjust, it's just from what it seems on the face of things Hospital seem to be 'out there' alot more than other producers and obviously have been for some time.
But, i'm enjoying the education thus far anyway, please continue!!

Nothing mentioned on the MC front?
Im a HUGE drum n bass fan, also love dubstep and most sub-genre's.
I do accept MC's are not to everyone's tastes, but here's a couple of sets that blow me away.
Part 1, there's 10 parts to it.
Highly blessed
This one, MC fun comes in at about 3:39 then skibba n harry shotta turn up.
UNCZ
Im also really feeling Katy B and what magnetic man are up to.
This is a recent favorite Levela - Dub style
Got too many favourites to even be bothered to link half of them.
Just glad ive found there is love for DNB on PH.
