Probably one of the best D&B compilations ever, I reckon. Possibly THE best, actually.

strange, first one was by far superior to subsequent compilations, but andy c is only just getting the recognition he deserves.

This was always one of my favourites. I think I generally used to prefer the B-Sides on the big singles, rather than the main tracks:

Fugitive

First one is a bit too Jump Up and formulaic.

I think the second one was the best and third one was the weakest.

Saying that Nightlife is a document of DnB in the 2000s.

Andy C is the only DnB DJ to be consistently in Mixmag's top 100. Lots of people have turned onto DnB from Andy C alone. I think you've forgotton how massive Nightlife was it came out.

i'm not denying nightlife's impact on release, i meant as a dj, i don't think andy c has had the technical recognition he deserves, irrespective of the genre he plays.

within dnb he has always been a legend, but, technically, him, and ltj bukem for that matter, have never really been particularly recognised throughout their careers. and both, imo, have done a great deal more, technically, than some of the other more media critically acclaimed djs around.

Yep, blame the media and clubbers.

Jeff Mills - techno legend - is another.

Tiesto... pfffft.

I cant listen to single songs with dnb, it never sounds right always waiting for the next drop. I would rather be listening to good technical mixes or live stuff where they are having a giggle, its always been about the atmosphere to me. Have a bit of bunters latest one, hes got a good mix of stuff on his soundcloud channel.

I mostly listen to breaks and tech house but I like a bit of liquid D&B, though I am no chin-stroker on the subject.

I like this sort of thing: https://soundcloud.com/#makoto-humanelements/makot...

And this tune is stuck in my head: https://soundcloud.com/#madukdnb/maduk-hourglass-f...

Any recommendations along the lines of Makoto gratefully received.
