New album isn't all that. Shame, I'm a massive fan.

with you sparks, bit middle of the road for me, bit disapointing after all the hype! but then when you get to the point they have, you sometimes have to take risks and I dont feel its paid off. HOWEVER I will be trying tot get tickets to go see them! I still like 'from nothing'

I think the problem is their last album was so good that it was always going to be a hard act to follow.

deffo, wasting light is possibly ones of their best albums, and the problem is, when everything in life is going well where do you get your inspriation from for your songs? obviously he has tried something new and I know some people who love it, but I think they tend to me just general listeners rather than hardcore foos fans. Also the new 'exclusive' foos t shirts avliable to buy are pretty unimagintive and ste really, hoping that stuff at the gigs are a bit better!

I'm a fan, but their output seems to have been the law of diminishing returns since 'There is nothing left to lose'. Arguably earlier.

However, their 'Sonic Highways' documentary series on iPlayer - which focuses on the cities they recorded the new album in, not that much on the Foos themselves - is well worth a watch.

I've given the album a few listens and it is growing on me. I see have a lot of time for the foo fighters, mainly because I bet there is parallel universe where I'm Dave Grohl wink

Really enjoying the series and and have found that I appreciate the songs on the new album more having seen what inspired them.

I can also highly recommend Sound City for any DG fans who haven't seen it.

Indeed, it's insane. Didn't stop me though! Got 3 tickets for the pitch this morning which came to almost £74 per person...

Off to Manchester. £55 ticket, plus "fees" made it £62.50 Per ticket. THEN a £6.50 secure postage fee.

Add to that the pain that was Gigsandtours booking system. I was ready, 9am, with the code that had been sent to me (I feel for those who struggled) but why then release a secret code to everyone?? Made a farce of presales for the fans. In the system, then kicked out, 20 minutes after re signing in and waiting on their "we have a lot of people" screen, i finally got the 4 tickets I was after.

I don't understand why each venue could not have had it's own release date. We all knew it would be manic and crash the system having 6 dates all go on the same day

The days of paying £20 to see them in a o2 sized venue are well gone.

It costs £42 to see kasabian in London these days.

I was expecting around 50-60, 85 is abit crazy imo! but then I know I am gunna get a good show from them at least and often they play for twice as long as other bands too and always seem to have good supports acts! their last tour in the UK was like a mini one day festival at the MK Bowl.

Was too busy to get online for the presale so will give the general sale a go. Let's see how hard it ends up being to get a single ticket for Sunderland. I don't get how these ticket websites set up their servers as all of them seem to have issues when major acts release tickets. I've had issues with pretty much all of them.
