I have no idea if its in here, the girlfriend was watching Harry Potter and I was ignoring it, until the clip of them dancing to Nick Cave's O Children came on. It got me, no idea why.

Wasn't that keen on the Power of Love cover for the TV ad, but this is rather lovely:

Another reflective, sad, downbeat but pretty song.

'Pitch A Fit' by Eastern Conference Champions

(I'd minimise the screen and not have to see the dumb video, but it's the only studio version I can find - love the piano sound that gets stronger and more mournful verse by verse, replaced by harmonica on this live version

Great guitar tone too.

The song that's haunted me more than any other perhaps - other than Gorecki's "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" the 3rd Symphony, if that counts here in the context of the thread - is "Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky" by Manic Street Preachers, about animals in captivity.

Horrible yet beautiful.

Vib Gyor - Ghosts

A group from Leeds that I'd not heard of before, but heard one of their tracks on the trailer to 'The Intouchables' and now can't stop listening to them. Apparently now called The Fossil Collective.

This track is great:

Just heard 'Breathe in, breathe out' by Polly Scattergood.
Wow, goosebumps and tears.
A truly beautiful song.
Must be a contender.
