Without a doubt, for me, it's the Aaron Static remix of Rank 1's Airwave. Quite different from the original and, dare i say it, better.

I played the youtube clip of it to a guy in the office. He's in his 50's and hates all sorts of 'dance' music. However, he sat there staring at the screen from the very beginning right to the end. By the time it had finished he had tears streaming down his face.

Thank you. Awesome.

Simply one of the best things I've clicked on throughout this thread.

(Much more evocative without a video)

The Lion And the Cobra is a superb album that got largely forgotten because of all her silly antics.
Amazing! Funny, I've only ever known her for her Prince cover and subsequent tabloid-worthy exploits, but on reflection who doesn't have a huge fking volcano somewhere in there that we've learned to keep a cap on(or this thread wouldn't exist!), or else we've never have got on in life.

'Come Down To Us' by Burial. Loving this at the moment, a very haunting sound to it.

BBC R3's drivetime programme, "In Tune", played this earlier this year and I was transfixed.

Hildegard von Bingen "Caritas abundat in omnia" by Elfenthal

For me, it's the definition of haunting and beautiful. For others? Well, YMMV so to speak.

It might have been said before on here--

Yann Tiersen - Comptine d`un autre ete - l`apres-midi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvryolGa19A

I bumped into that somewhere, and it just sounded so familiar, but I couldn't place it. Maybe in the back of a youtube video, or an a TV advert.

If you know if it has been used in something, let me know!

edit- a hypnotising learn-to-play video for it too

They used this right at the end of TIE 90 by the same composer. I rather like it.

That could be it, I'm sure I watched that film a few years ago, but the strange thing is the trailer for it doesn't seem familiar at all.

That also reminds me of one of the "two steps from hell" type epic film scores.
