Most hauntingly beautiful song ever?
Discussion
I've not read the whole thread, but Sandy Denny has to win.

Beautiful song, but prefer the later version. I also love 'The Sea':https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oBMDcLf6WA

Not read the whole thread either, but my suggestion is
I can't make you love me/nick of time - Bon Iver - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3VjaCy5gck
Absolutely stunning (like all of their stuff)

Just seen a trailer for the new Amazon Prime series, The Man In The High Castle. Featured was a stunning, haunting version of Mad World, any ideas of the singer? Google and Youtube throw up blanks.
Presumably the Gary Jules version for Donnie Darko?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N3N1MlvVc4

I wonder if they are contemplating releasing it for another Christmas number one?
Jasmine Thompson's name seems to be mentioned a lot, but I don't think it is her.

My brain keeps wanting to add power, and the percussion "clicks".

I was looking for this great thread earlier today for some inspiration so thanks for reigniting it.
Currently getting into Porcupine Tree (a bit late I know) and I'm loving Half Light:

Just spent an evening going through loads of these: some really great stuff. Thanks.
There are old entries from bands I've recently seen (Airbag), CDs I bought years ago and forgotten about (Paul Carrack) plus the one I just mentioned (PT - Half Light) was already there from 2013!
Wish I could get them all on a playlist somehow.
Really annoying that such great stuff is not well publicised: 5k Youtube hits for brilliant music compared to 1 billion for Katy Perry. Hey-ho.
Keep 'em coming.
