Is that classed as Dubstep? thought it's more like DnB.

ETA- apparently it's drumstep (according to a few of my mates)

You're mates are wrong wink It is dubstep, not all dubstep needs to have heavy basslines etc smile

It's not DnB, DnB is much faster.

It's not drumstep either. Put simply, drumstep is half-speed DnB but with emphasized snares. Drumstep usually has similar basslines to dubstep too. (it's quite hard to explain drumstep properly hehe)

I'd forgetten to add this one too biggrin

Anything by Noisia

Especially Exodus, and their remix of The Prodigy's Omen

Exodus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDS872M9Y9c

Omen - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INhzlIz4QXA

Oh, and you arguing about the different types of music. Every music is classed by it's drumbeat wink

I was neither agreeing nor disagreeing, perfectly acceptable to correct me if i'm wrong, which i may well have been, i was only putting forward what my mates were saying. I don't know the finer details of music classifications im afraid. Also, another track to add....

Tycho- sunrise projector

Takes a little while to get into it, and is actually quite bassy, but is so chilled you dont really notice it.

We managed once to bounce ornaments off the shelves of a flat upstairs with New Order Blue Monday. Do wonder how it would work on a bass orientated system.

This thread is great, some great suggestions smile

Dave Owen - Still Waters is one with really subtle bass which you only really notice properly when listening with a sub. One of favourite DnB tunes, so chilled. It's got the same piano sample as the dubstep tune mentioned in the OP.

I'll give someone else a chance to post something now!

Cracking track; Mint Royale feat. Pos from De La Soul - "Show Me". Wait until it hits a minute in. The bass does something distinctly fruity! It's not the best quality either, get hold of a decent copy for really deep bass.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pUbhuuvy9A&fea...

The Power of Goodbye - Madonna: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-pEDTn0uso Again, stick on HD which ups the audio quality enormously.
