Well, put a bash plate on the underside with help from my bro using some old 4mm checker plate I had lying round. Plan now is to connect it to the front skid plate with bolts on the front plate, and welding on the new plate... maybe. Also going to add some square bar across the top to give it a bit of extra strength. Note his magnificent attempt at graffiti. A budding artist... hehe

It will connect to the front bash plate in this pic. Also home made, (you'd never guess. hehe)

Also had a chap weld an addition to my straigh pipe bumper, and fitted some cheap spots my mum bought me. They were about 8 quid for the 2! Still, they make a decent wedge of light compared to full beam, so will come in handy on a trail at night.

Before

After, (you can also see the front 4mm checker plater bash plater a bit better. It goes back past the engine cross member)

Also removed the back seats.

I hope you got what you wanted for it?
Yeah. Enough to not risk keeping up the auction. Shook on 3100 quid in the end.
Enough about the brick, how did the sale of the LR go?

Looks great, anyway. Convert the back into a sleeper, and away you go, around the world.

Wow, the weather looks great! We're still waiting for spring here in the Alps...
30+ degrees today. smile

The little one has just got over chicken pox, (but still has some scabs, etc, so I took her to the lake to cheer her up). Her face when we went up a steep bit, then down the other side was funny!

Up...

And down...

I'm currently going through a(nother) phase of thinking about selling the Legacy and buying a proper 4wd... will I actually do it this time? We shall see.
I must say, I reckon I have had more fun in my 4x4's than when I had 'cars'. It is nice to be able to enjoy a motorised pursuit without having to drive like an idiot on the roads. It was nice having the MR2's, the race prepped mk1 Astra, the Infiniti, the e190, and so on... I prefer just fking off into the hills with friends and having 'adventures'.

Do it.

My niece, visiting from the States, and used to being driven around in her dad's BMW and her mum's Lexus, loved pootling around in the vit!
