I have a sticker on the back of my LC saying " Land Cruiser the official recovery vehicle for Land Rover" biggrin
biggrin Are you anywhere near Wakefield?!

Here it is:

To do list:

Get back door open. I think something is broken inside the door. The lock is very loose, and not moving when the other locks do.

Remove graphics.

Poke at rusty bits. It's better than I was expecting, but still bad.

My 2 previous owner Disco smile Might have to sell it unfortunately as this (below) has now found a place on my drive.

God knows why I bought it. If I can get it legally on the road it'll be a miracle.
Already spent £200 on parts and 15 hours of my time messing on with it and there's still plenty on the 'to-do' list!

That's absolutely nothing...

Prepare to invest hundreds in both hours and beer tokens

Got rid of all the graphics today.

I think I need new rear springs. It's squatting 'a little'.

Quick pic out the window, it's looking far too clean!

That's because its a land cruiser, you don't drive over snow the snow moves out of your way
Nearly right, its a Toyota 4 Runner, the deep snow makes it look bigger than it actually is

Its a great truck, does everything I need and the is just right size family wagon
Is that a UK car rather than a Surf? Had one for years with the 3.0TD engine - was used to take the dogs shooting across fields in the snow and up hills in the winter and also to drag a trailer over the Alps in the summer. Probably the most versatile car I've ever owned. Eventually chopped it in for an LC - had 250k miles on the clock and was still going strong.

I do like that. Exactly to sort of purposeful yet presentable look I want to eventually get my 110 to.

If it can cross a muddy field without embarassing itself then why not? I saw a Mercedes GL with Mud Terrains on it yesterday! - Wonders will never cease!

Well you've got the right vehicle to see it in!

I'm also looking to do the Landie + TVR thing too (I've wanted a Tuscan since they first reveaed the prototype); it's funny how many TVR owners also own something from the green oval. thumbup

End of Church Road I think, not sure what it is called. Up near Aspley Heath.

Second picture is a lane near Newport Pagnell (runs behind the services) which always seems to be quite wet.

I used to occasionally drive an ex-BBC Defender many years ago and have wanted my own Landie since then. Not had the Discovery long but have been bowled over by it, absolutely ticks all the boxes for my family (3x mucky boys 1x mucky husband 5x mucky mountain bikes etc etc)
