End of Church Road I think, not sure what it is called. Up near Aspley Heath.

Second picture is a lane near Newport Pagnell (runs behind the services) which always seems to be quite wet.
Yup thats Sandy Lane. Not sure where the Newport one is though, might have to go hunting for it, cheers for the tip

When I say lane, I should say road ! It is called Little Linford Lane and runs from Newport Pagnell to Little Linford. Usually a fairly normal tarmac road but seems to get transformed if there is rainfall !

Wow, serious quad bike you have there! I'm a Honda man but always liked the Can Am machines especially the Renegade. Welcome to PH thumbup

Had a renegade 800 to start with, the outlander is a bigger bike & bit more useful. Also more comfortable. Still has full Fox shock set up though.
It was in Wales on Strata Florida

I used to occasionally drive an ex-BBC Defender many years ago and have wanted my own Landie since then. Not had the Discovery long but have been bowled over by it, absolutely ticks all the boxes for my family (3x mucky boys 1x mucky husband 5x mucky mountain bikes etc etc)
I've alwasy been into cars and travel but it's only recently that I've "discovered" (sorry!) overlanding and off-roading. I bought my Discovery 2 in October but plan to use it to tour around the UK and Europe (maybe further depending on budget!) as well as taking it off-road.

I've just done an off-road course (last Thursday) to make sure I didn't have any bad habits and to get instruction on / give me a chance to practice some of the more "technical" aspects before I made a mistake and damaged my own car; I got on really well actually and the only problem now is that I want to spend money on mine! biggrin

Here's my L200 that replaced a Transporter T5...

I really like it, pretty practical ticking boxes of car, van and 4X4. Only got 134hp, so looking to get it remapped - no one likes changing gears on hills if they can avoid it.

It's got standard center and rear locking diffs. On snow tyres at the minute - seems to do the job pretty well. Nearly got stuck the other day in deep slush, but some tactical reversing and giving it some welly got me out.

biggrin

Is that a UK car rather than a Surf? Had one for years with the 3.0TD engine - was used to take the dogs shooting across fields in the snow and up hills in the winter and also to drag a trailer over the Alps in the summer. Probably the most versatile car I've ever owned. Eventually chopped it in for an LC - had 250k miles on the clock and was still going strong.
Yes a UK car 3.0TD with 125k on the clock, its a 1 owner ex-wildlife charity deer resuce ambulance.

Looked for a long time as I wanted a UK car so I could re-register it Europe, only had it since last Nov., very first drive was 1000 miles across Europe. Agree its the most versatile car I've ever owned and plan to keep it forever.

I have a house in the eastern Alps and wanted something reliable, cheap to maintain, easy to work on that I could leave on trickle charge for months at a time and be able to drive anywhere in all weathers.

Won't do any serious offroading wih it but I would like to do some overland trips once I get it up to a suitable spec., better lights, long range fuel tank, fridge, travelling kit, extra spare wheel, snorkel etc

Yes... I will probably resort to a postit note next to the shifter hehe

The car is actually suspended from a crane and braced with the steel ramps for safety
