Well I bought the one I went to see tonight..

2003 4.7 V8 HO Overland
130k miles
FSH & Full LPG Service History (fitted at 600 miles)
Lots of work done recently.
Folder full of receipts right from 2003.
All the mod cons; Sat Nav, Parking Sensors, Heated Leather.. amazingly well kitted out for the money! Parrot handsfree also fitted.
Owned by a Doctor until 125k miles, 2nd owner bought it in April but just had kids and changed job (more travelling, less money).
Needs the blend doors done, which I'll do myself (any links to European sellers much appreciated).
The rear diff seems to be very aggressive and hops when on full lock, hopefully a fluid change will sort this..
Also has a radar jammer fitted but I'm not sure if it's working or not..

Thanks for the advice gents, hopefully some trouble free winter V8 hacking ahead!

sounds like the fluid has been changed without adding any friction modifier for the limited slip diff.

You can get it from your local jeep dealer... I've a couple bottles of the stuff they gave me for free after the last service.

Ah fantastic thanks! Best to drain the lot and add together with new fluid?

Yup... drain and refill smile

I used some nice Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W 140 in the rear, and Castrol Universal 75w-90 semi-synthetic gear oil in the front

The Syntrax already has some additive in it, but I found it needed some more before the wheel hopping stopped.

Don't put too much in though as you will lose 4x4 since the LSD will slip too much.
Can you remember how much you added in the end? This was way below budget so I'm happy to spend the extra to get it sitting as it should. I've also been looking at some thicker rear anti-sway bars, reviews seem to be excellent.

You may want to think about chucking this part of the kit on when you get the chance, having spoken to Greg at 4play, he did mention that these alone will give the best improvement to the vehicle.
I didn't even go up there to buy these just to pick up a batch of fluids and pads+discs, it's amazing how he can talk you into spending even more money hehe
I want to search for this "4play" shop but I'm worried the Google search results may be.. inappropriate. Does he have a website?

From their website today :

Sway bar (P/N:ACO-684) $156.59
Energy suspension $15.95
Bush kit
(P/N:ENS-9-5161G)

i-parcel delivery $121.87 ($80 delivery + $40 duty)
inc taxes

TOTAL Dollars $306.36

Exchange rate
£1 = $1.60

TOTAL Pounds £192.00 by my man maths.

The only saving is from the $80 delivery, but they would only ship to one address, then we need to split the delivery over here and pay to ship to our own address.
Dont think there would be anything in it for the extra work would there ????
Similar price from the guy that runs WJJEEPS.com, $260 before import taxes

Expensive, but worth it for the improvement to the drive.
(mind you they have gone up a bit since last year)
Wasn't it Polybush that had their offices and warehouse burnt down last year?
