How not to drive in dunes:

As for causing damage to greenlanes - its quite simple. IF IT IS SOFT, DO NOT DRIVE IT!!!! Following the GLASS and Treadlightly guidelines means no damage should be caused at all. There are plenty of hard/firm lanes with all-weather rocky surfaces to enjoy all year round if it is too wet to use mud-based lanes.
If you want to get stuck and churn things up and winch yourself out, go be a retarded yokel at a pay and play site instead!
Spleen vented for the day.

That is funny. May not have been so funny if the Jeep had landed on top of him though.Crossflow Kid said:
I went a 100 miles an hour down a green lane at the weekend. I did. Really.
No, no you didn't - no trail/enduro bike will do more than 70-80mph even with a 15/46 gearing.
As usual with PH if you are able to do something better or faster etc. then you are immediately called a liar.
Sad that its come to this, I look forward to royally roosting you guys in the lanes!

And it was a typo. 100 mph is obviously wrong.
I meant 200.

That's gotta hurt!Holy thread resurrection batman part 2! yup lots of ruddy bankers playing in big boy toys thinking they are indestructible.......
As said a few times before, one of the reasons I got out off the off road scene - love my P38 and take it green laning, but get no enjoyment from the 'competition' side of things now - too many guys buying £500 discos and fitting lift kits and winches and off the go - 15 year old scrappers with new toys - broken bitzachassis waiting to happen
Oh well - age doesn't come alone
