I have been looking at the new Isuzu 4x4s and wondered if anyone here can comment on if the new ones are any good or not?

I know that they have had a good reputation in the past.... But a lot of new 4X4's have been weakened with the new eco engines....

Are the new Isuzu's reliable? What issues are there with this brand? I have concerns over the 4x4 dial control over the traditional extra stick shift for the 4x4 engagement, can anyone here comment?

I currently have a Defender 90 Utility which I really like and has been very reliable, but with hind sight I could really do with some extra seats. The Defender 110 Utility version is currently a favorite for me. But the Isuzu has looks a nice motor....

Who makes the engines in the current new range and is there any that should be avoided?

All advice from experience is most welcome

I have one of the last rodeos and very pleased with it. 24k miles and only needed a new heater thermostat done under warranty.

I went on a D-Maxperience day and tried the new truck and was very impressed. Apart from some interior trim the new truck is a step up.

Engines are all Isuzu and good solid units. Not quite as refined as say a VW, but perfectly acceptable.

See if you can get on a D-Max day - that will help you make up your mind.

I have a 2013 D-Max and although I have only done a couple of thousand miles and can't comment on the reliability I am very impressed with the vehicle on the whole. Highly recommended.
