Hummer H1, whom to insure with

Hello,
I'm looking at importing a Hummer H1 from EU but some insurance companies seem to require a minimum of 36 months of driving experience of the vehicle to insure it/me. I've had a number of RR's and other cars but only driven the Hummer H1 a few times - this sounds like a catch-22, drive it for 3 years before you can insure it!
Any suggestion of companies to contact would be much appreciated.
