I'm not normally to be found lurking on this forum, bit I need to get some advice from all you experienced mud pluggers. I have signed up for the Panda Raid in March, which as the name suggests, involves rallying Fiat Pandas from Madrid, over to Morocco and then flailing about for hundreds of kilometres in the desert, all in the name of kids charities. A worthy cause and should be a hoot.
I have bought a 1988 Panda 4x4 for the event and need to get it prepped for some rough and rocky terrain. I'm after an ally sump guard, probably to bolt onto the existing standard tubular item, a snorkel, a roof rack that can take a couple of spare wheels, jerry cans of fuel and water plus other odds and sods, and some decent seats to replace the crappy standard things so I don't end up with my spine protruding out of the top of my head, plus any other useful advice on kit. I can't find anything or anyone online who makes or sells stuff for a Panda 4x4's, so am open to suggestions. My fabrication skills are limited due to a lack of facilities, but I can always find a "man who can".

Drop by the Fiat/Lancia/Alfa room, this sounds like the sort of Fiat-based silliness that Liquid Knight might be able to help with.

better ditching the back seat - keep wheels inside car bolted down...keep centre of gravity down going over dunes - and also more secure in case anyone takes a fancy to them.

Front skid plate needs to protect front bumper as that will be first thing to go awol.
