I bought this last thursday and so far i love it!

its a 1996 3.1D with a little over 100,000 on the clock

Everything is working as it should and the previous owner has spent quite a lot on it in the last few months replacing old for new. (recent turbo, clutch, brakes, tyres, and all MOT advisories such as bushes and brake pipes)

I went to some green lanes in derbyshire on friday night and decided the side steps were getting in the way

As it stands now after removing side steps:

Im hoping to do a 2 inch lift in the new 2-3 weeks and see how it goes from there smile

Wander over to here: Troopers Owners Club for lots of support / knowledge and mods you can do and the various do's and don'ts.

i.e. Don't use the "Quick Warm Up" button on a 3.1 (3.0 are fine though), Never drivein in 4WD on anything but slippy stuff, etc etc.

3.1D are a little Agricultural, but the pay off is that you can usually fix them with a hammer smash

Any Q's ? Ask.
Thank you I'll have a look on there smile

Quick question, how long would you expect the clutch to last if it were to be used off road in 4wd

I doubt it'll be a clutch issue - more one of transmission wind up?

Ok thanks guys, I'm not having an issue with the clutch it we're a proper newbie question smile

Heard about the front hubs we're your meant to reverse etc for them to disengage but I've been told I don't need to do that as mine aren't the hubs that say auto-lock on them (mine are allen key head)
