I think they are with the dealer as a friend works for Al Tayer and he has posted pictures on Facebook.
This makes a lot of sense as they're almost certainly pre-production. I did wonder if they sent some over for hot weather testing and to give some locals a chance to have a look.I like the idea of the new raptors suspension, however the Baja mode is marketing crap, all it is is a load of presets of the things you can calibrate in any old raptor.
I can't believe they kept the IWE system as its a proven weak spot on the current F150.
As for the drive train, I hate the idea of flappy paddles on a desert truck, the V6 sounds st and the 10 speed is actually a 7 speed with 3 overdrives.
I just hope its not mapped horribly...what I do love about the V6 ecoboost is the tuning potential, the updated looks and the updated interior! As for the Aluminium body, that's a proven weak spot for the rear bed, but not may Raptors haul loose kit that ding the bed anyway.

With all that torque, I can't see why anyone would want or need 10 forward gears. Three overdrives (perhaps linked to the Terrain system) makes more sense.I'll reserve judgement on the V6 TT until I've driven it. I'm sure it'll be a helluva power plant. That said, the 6.2 'Boss' donkey really will be hard to surpass aurally, especially when it's breathing through a better exhaust etc.
Having said that... Rumours abound that there will be a 5.0 V8 TT Raptor with the model's mid-life facelift.
Hmmm

With a move to the states on the cards in 2017, my raptors staying put and if/when we go I'll probably get a 2017 model. I guess there isn't really much need for a v8 when you go for forced induction, a tune should unleash at least 50bhp, probably more!
I think with an exhaust, intake and some blow off valves it'll probably sound ok, not as good as a v8 but a lot better than stock!

The v8 ecoboost with find a way in there ford finite and I'd be surprise if that wasn't a design consideration from day 1. both the body and engine are produced in huge volumes so the numbers work and the modular assembly process means it's not even difficult. I wouldn't be surprised if a full on yee-haaa dandy edition with the flat plane v8 comes along, either oem or semi official tuner
