Yep, I'd second this... 2 of my colleagues have these and they are excellent, low key but powerful, nice to drive and not ruinous to maintain.

Has the same running gear as my old XFR - and I miss that...alot.

503 Horses (chip tunable to 550, or near 600 with a pulley too) loads of torques and, with a Spires pipe sounds amazing.

Everyone says that the touch screen interface is sloppy, but most of the time you will be too busy in tunnels with the windows down.

I don't know about that, matches my criteria quite well biggrin

If you are going for one of the newer Jags, you are close to older DB7/9 money and they look quite similar - would that be stretching man logic too far?

If you could stretch the manual requirement, I keep thinking about an SL 55/500. M3 would get away from the tedium of a 330/335..

None of the things I look at are particularly discrete, (as anyone thats seen my Tamora at home will know..)

a colleague is looking for a car to replace everyone's favourite dubai starter vehicle - the toyota yaris.

his wife will have a family pajero. his requirements are:

convertible
preferably manual
preferably something low key but with plenty of power when required
not american

so far the elise or even exige gets the thumbs up despite it being somewhat less than a wallflower in the looks dept.

bmw 335 turned down for being too boring.

boxster s gets the thumbs up, although he thinks a 997 cab may be too ostentatious.

clearly a finicky mind at work, perfect for this thread!

anything else?

I love a 911 targa, but that one looks so wrong having a 993 body and old targa style roof/rear window IMO.

2.7 RS is beautiful. But 1 million euros?!

I feel like I desperately need a 356 in my life.

What have they done to that poor 3.0 sc. Thats a shocker. Plus value of the 2.7 seems to be built on tbe sale of the american car sold a month back.

My mates dad had exactly this car here when I was growing up, he eventually shipped it back to the UK.

Got nicked by a 13 year old the day after it got registered and put on the road, little fecker drove it until it ran out of petrol and then torched it frown

no, that one is greay with a black barcon wrapped bonnet. recently saw the owner who said it needed a new gearbox and clutch. ouch!

also i am sure that 996 gt3 has been discussed on here as being ragged hard at yas and i have seen it up close at robbies motorsport. looked extremely tired.

Nice wink

M3

I know I shouldn't post my own motor, but if I was on the look out i'd be posting it anyway.

Is there anywhere on PH I can list Dubai cars?

Anyways, I'll move on price more for anyone interested on here.
