in which case you should really do the needful!
Tempted. I sold the NSX about 4 months ago and picked up an M6 convertible, V10 version, and it is so good at everything that I'm bored to tears...I may go and have a look
- *edit*** on closer inspection, Cameron's had a red interior and Bride seats, this doesn't look to be the same. Still worth a look though.

and whilst I'm here, I looked at the 456GT and F355 in Princess Motors AD today, been on the market for ages and cheap... sadly there's a reason.
Shame as I quite fancied the financial folly of a 456. They had a Venturi in too... but again a bit tatty.
What's up with the 355 at Princess... I had heard that the owner of the company was something of a collector, so assumed that the cars he sold would be top notch...Shame as I quite fancied the financial folly of a 456. They had a Venturi in too... but again a bit tatty.

Can't you buy in Dubai and ship it? Or is there all sorts of duties and paperwork etc?
No fella, anything between 5 and 30 years old cant be imported into Qatar, its stupid. You can do it if you're a local apparently, because when I was registering my race car the license plate shop car park (where you go to collect plates for your imported cars) had a fair few cars like Ferrari 550's that were being changed from Dubai plates to Qatar plates. It seems the rules dont apply if you are Qatari...as usual. Can't you buy in Dubai and ship it? Or is there all sorts of duties and paperwork etc?

He came over and introduced himself when I was there, a nice guy and a collector, was telling me about his new LaFerrari...I was surprised about the condition of quite of a few of the older cars there. The 456 has the usual window problems and the passenger door wouldn't shut, other than that just general wear and tear, but for a low mileage car you'd have thought they'd have sorted it. It did have a Tubi though.
The 355 was just a but tired and could have done with a general tidy up - but then as I say it was cheap - odd headrest colour, coded to the dark red roof, but light tan seats. Also probably just my ignorance, but the colour looked a bit wrong - a bit light?
Venturi has a bubbling bonnet, a Testarossa in there had a badly scarred and scratched rear bumper, down to the metal and the Ferrari script on the back missing, but with the sticky stuff still there.
All in all just things you'd expect to be sorted - I guess those particular cars are at the bottom of the market and at the bottom of the interest level, when compared to some of the other inventory.
A couple of lovely Countachs and Diablos in there though

NB - i need to stop looking at early pork. was looking at old bringatrailer ads from 2011 where $15k would geta mint 912 and $30k an extremely tasty 911. the boat has long since gone and left me on the dock.

starting to look in earnest for my winter wheels.
2 seats
modern or classic
convertible ok if the roof is quick and easy to put up and it looks good fitted
manual
esoteric
pref. under 70k
will consider literally anything. import maybe considered if it's sufficiently wantable. bonus point awarded for classified ads i don't already know about
shortlist so far:
s1 elise
boxster/cayman
that everpresent feeling that i really should get a clio v6
decent z3m coupe, if such things exist
yorky's m3
dream list if they were available locally:
porsche 914
sunbeam alpine
stupid list that can only end in death:
triumph scrambler
suggestions?

Unless manual absolutely necessary, R129 series SL500 like this
http://tnydu.biz/DOpu4S
More than enough in the budget to get rid of the shocking wheels and put some stock ones back on
