I actually saw this yesterday in the metal / plastic / filler. Words cannot do justice to how bad it is. I don't know what they were thinking building this. Thankfully it looks like it is based on a poor SC and not an earlier car - and not a 1995 993. http://tnydu.biz/DOtiLh
Before anyone things I went to buy it, I was there to see a 997 2S. The guy has 60 cars for sale, it's worth calling him just to see the collection. Some some ok, some very, very bad. Sadly he runs a car interior business so most have been "improved"...

what a disgrace. That car would need a huge amount of money thrown at it to bring it back to what it should be. Not sure what the seller means by "original refresh plan".
The only redeeming feature is that it's a manual.

I actually quite like it.Not sure what the seller means by "original refresh plan".

Looks pretty similar to the Le Mans cars.
If you squint.

WOW! I'd have that in a heartbeart if I lived in Dubai! If I was to come back to Dubai, without the family, I'm thinking the choice is between these....

Budget 250k, any comments on the above, or alternative choices?
I'd want relatively new, not ruinous like an aging Italian, and reliable enough to do the occasional trip to AUH.
Oh, and must be tin-top. I may be many things, but I am not a top-down driver.

The Lotus wouldn't get a look in for me, the Jags are sooo much nicer. The noise they make is immense too.http://tnydu.biz/DOtr4P

I had an '85 Turbo Esprit in the early 2000's and really loved it, which is why Lotus is there.
But I had a 2010 XF-R in Dubai in 2012 (with Spires Pipes) and it really was a rather good, fast, noisy, brute. Which is why the Jaaag is also on the list.
I am leaning towards the V8S, although I would love to stretch to a V8R, they are just too rich for me.

Try selling either - they don't shift. Lotus have some crazy offers at the moment - 20 deposit paid / waived (presumably because the tanking £ means the cars are 20% cheaper. http://tnydu.biz/DOtr4P

All being equal, I'd be in the Jag.

Or have you gone soft in your old age?
Soft. But the 2-11 is not really a 'Dubai' car is it? I'd rather have that in the UK for B road fun; there is only so much you can do with that on a Summers day on Sheikh something bin Something road at 120kph, in a straight line. Or would it be appropriate to rev the tits off it down 'The Walk' on a Thursday evening?
And there is only so much Club Circuit one can tolerate before going dizzy.
No, I rather like the prospect of being slightly squidgy around the middle and opting for leather, walnut, a V8, and a slush-box.

'For repair'.It would cost the asking price to print out the parts list.
