Only suggested it cos it met Oily's criteria. OK, so it does not have the Merc V8 lump with that stunning zorst note _ pure heaven it is. The XFR ticks all Oily's boxes: 510bhp, 460Nm of torque, 4 decent seats, SC V8 the only thing to get over is it is a Jag!
Clarkson says that if i'm out for drinks I'll not have to pay, all I have to do is say "I've left my wallet in the Jaaaaaag"

Sort of liking the idea of a brute of a Jag and the warranty/service contract has me sold. going to check it out tomorrow evening, if anyone smells tyresmoke in Jumeriah......

i think they started off using the v8 from the e39. don't think it was the m lump and may have been FI. new ones us the e90 m3 v8.

i really don't like the look of them, but wouldn't mind ragging one through the mountains.

i am loving the m3 powered tr6 on the ph homepage.

I thought it was an E46 M lump. I think they look wonderful - I've seen two or three out here.

I was so disappointed with the XK. Tiny, uncomfortable and noisy in the wrong way. Took it back after 10 minutes. The XF was nice enough, but not special enough for the money.

Not going to say until it's in my hands. Big 'reveal' with photos maybe on the weekend...

It has 4 seats, 400+ Hp, V8 and sounds absolutely sublime.

Sounds like my sort of car.

Whats the usual haggle factor here on Dubizzle? Just wondering what sort of % would be sensible to expect/try for off the ticket price? Experience of looking at other things there suggests a lot of people take the piss and several ads I've seen have said words along the lines of clear off if you are going to do that.

If you can comfortably look them in the eye when you make the offer you're not playing hard enough. I've done some crackers, generally 20% below asking on cars that I've watched for two or three weeks. If it goes before then I chalk it down as not meant to be, apart from the mint manual 996 C4S I should have bought in Feb. I cry a little when I start the MX5 because of that one...

Generally speaking, dealing with your average Dubai buyer is enough to put anyone in the mood to cut a deal after a couple of weeks!

Forget the asking price, as you can see with the Z3 ///M discussed last week, some owners are delusional when it comes to the value of their car.

Start below where you think it is worth.

I've been pretty much offline for the last couple of weeks but have just gone back through the thread and seen that. Delusional seems like a good way to sum it up..

Looks like I may be in the country long for a whole week now thanks to various screwups which might give me the time to get wheels sorted before i start melting outside..
