only £150k + shipping from europe, but don't let that put you off as the mk x is sooooo rare.
What the hell were you doing searching for X-Type Jaaaags?
If that is the gold one there's a lovely write up of a restored one in this week's Evo. Interesting car at about GBP10k for a minter!

hehe i wouldn't touch one. i was searching for all cars pre-1996. i would love a mk x though, the interiors are simply fantabulous and they are a proper luxo-barge.

did you seal the deal at the weekend then dan?

I did. Doing the transfer of registration when I get back from Oman on Tuesday/Weds/Thur, maybe Sat.

How am I supposed to pay for it, surely the seller will not accept a cheque when he signs the car over to me, just as I won't accept to transfer between banks prior to him signing the car over to me.

Is it going to be a case of used notes with a wrist-chain jobbie?

What is protocol for handing over vast sums of money?

Me too - I had a look at a couple of blue ones last year but they were both badly shagged.

Do it at the registration centre, in front of the RTA guy.
Do we know what it is yet?

AMG for me as well, could be anyone of many though from an SL to an S with a few between.

Only one I'll discount is an SLK, not sure Dan would fit in one let alone buy one.
