i wouldn't touch one. i was searching for all cars pre-1996. i would love a mk x though, the interiors are simply fantabulous and they are a proper luxo-barge.

I did. Doing the transfer of registration when I get back from Oman on Tuesday/Weds/Thur, maybe Sat.

How am I supposed to pay for it, surely the seller will not accept a cheque when he signs the car over to me, just as I won't accept to transfer between banks prior to him signing the car over to me.

Is it going to be a case of used notes with a wrist-chain jobbie?

What is protocol for handing over vast sums of money?

AMG for me as well, could be anyone of many though from an SL to an S with a few between.

Only one I'll discount is an SLK, not sure Dan would fit in one let alone buy one.
