Right then.. Seems LloydsTSB in the UAE is about to be sold off to HSBC so it looks like I will finally get an account with them.

Not overly impressed with them so far so wondering about swapping totally. Anyone have any suggestions, (other than a shoe box under my bed?)
It is a done deal mate, H2 sometime.

I thought of you when the missus had an inkling this was going on!

When it gets to an announcement, its almost always done and dusted so I reckon I'm lumbered. If I'd have know this was going to happen, I propably would have looked elsewhere, but that said, the set up with Lloyds was so good, if the people that organised things for me are still around, it might be worth hanging around to see what happens. Have to say, not hopeful..

Fingers crossed for her and the others. Given the general chaos that is banking over here, I'm going to move banks before I get moved. I gather LLoyds accounts will be turned into HSBC accounts over time. No one can tell me if that means we'll now get charged for transfers between banks when I move cash offshore, (absolutely no reason why we wouldn't as far as I can see), so it makes no sense to have an HSBC USE account and a Lloyds IoM account..
