Well the car perfectly for the last 11.5 hours with Spencer taking the car over the finishing line.

The whole team were exhausted and somehow we packed the transporter and headed back to hotel for a) shower, b) beer and pizza and c) sleep.

We all start driving / flying out of Barcelona today.

as for the result, 4th in class was all that was possible but to have made the chequered flag after the last 9mths of effort was all the reward we needed. for first time race mechanics and 2 first time 24hr drivers it was a fantastic feeling.

the pace is there, having taken class pole by 2.5sec and the fastest lap by 1.7sec - on the second lap out n the new engine! next season will all be about reliability and developing as a team.

I had never known tiredness like it! Good crack all-round though, I've still got my SVDP racing team shirt! It doesn't fit, mind, but hey-ho!
