Dammit my parents are out then and my life won't be worth living if I say "cheerio I'm off for karting and beers"! Will have to join the next one.

So we would have been even further ahead with a level playing field? smile

I am in for this, date and time being doable, need some distractions, been a fking horrible few weeks.

Edit - The actual value of this deal is 80 dhs, not the 150 it quotes according to the website.

NB That website lists the karts as capable of 120kmh. That's not out of the question, the karts here at Thruxton will allegedly do 65mph and the seat 'o the pants telemetry backs that. BUT, they're 13.5hp. The website above lists theirs as 6.5hp.

I very much doubt you'd get even 80kmh out of 6.5hp.

So that is what he has bought is it. You may need race license Phil as is not a track day if not I will see if I can take the 675 out.

Nope, but first time in a while. Already got bits and pieces planned when they are out. Could always leave the wife to entertain them on the 18th but that probably then buys me dog house time with the wife!

That's inevitable mate - at least spend the doghouse points doing something you enjoy rather than some random future fk up hehe

that is one thing he's bought, there may be one or two offers in for others. i have no idea what the plan for the clio is. i would like to know what is being pedalled before the first race day at least.

You can never fit everyone in all the time - don't worry about it. There'll be the next time.

I was tasked to organise a kart night at my old company. I gave three dates that seemed reasonable but there was always someone who threw a spanner (and a strop) in the works so it it never happened and no one got to go instead of 90% of the people having a good time.

These things are always like that. Announce the date and stick with it. Those that can attend will do so. The rest will hopefully make the next one.
