All of my screens are repaired by Biny Computers in the Al Ain Computer Plaza in Bur Dubai (near the Burjuman centre)
I'm not sure if they do IPAD screens but if they don't then one of the places in the centre will.

Never had an issue with any of the work.

Other option is the repair service offered by Jumbo or Plug Ins... takes a little longer and costs more but I believe the technians are factory trained.

All my iMates use a place in the bottom of Thuraya Tower in TECOM (next to Byblos Hotel), really good and Apple warranty remains intact.

That is for repairs and upgrades to iMacs etc

I've used the place inside the Al Khleej center on the internal alley way down into the spinnies, there is a dedicated Mac shop there.

There's a place in JLT that does an iPhone screen in under an hour for 395Dhs - http://www.celmetro.com/.

There's also a guy who does a mobile 'come to you' service in 20minutes, can't find his details at the mo but I remember he was a bit cheaper - but was about to travel when I called him. Added bonus is he does a 2nd repair for half price if you break the screen again (which happened to me within 2 weeks...)

I have just popped to Satwa and go in any of the larger "phone"/gadget shops. A screen on an iphone is only about AED150 and can be done pretty much while you wait (30 mins to take a walk around). Quality was really good on one, and little iffy on the other (screen still a little proud of the body), but good enough for an old iphone.

Any of these places carry a decent stock of spares? My 1st gen MacBook Air has just toasted its HDD. Want to replace it with a SSD, but suspect I may have a challenge getting hold of one in Dubai as I gather its an odd size..

Used one of the places in satwa and they replaced front and back for 250 AED. Seems a really good job so far.

They say they are the only authorised apple repair place in Dubai and certainly seemed to know their stuff. One of their engineers popped down and after 15 minutes if fiddling and diagnostics reckoned the disk was ok after all, I should just try a fresh install of the OS. Didn't charge me and seems fine so far.. When it does die, (5 year old so far), I'll certainly give them a call.. thumbup

Great experience with this company fixing my iPhone 6 Plus. Would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future. Thanks
