Contracts/Commercial manager.

That's a tough choice of destination for you!

Good to see you out this morning Jason! The changeable weather scared a lot of people away...

One comment would be (as I yelled at you as we passed - sorry!!) try and turn a slightly bigger gear if you can - your legs were spinning round and you weren't getting the full benefit of your efforts.. Appreciate that it is easy to comment, but I think it will really help your cycling.

Geez this morning was tough, that wind seemed to be in our faces all the way round. Managed a respectable 145, albeit following a way better rider the whole way round.

Off out again in the morning for another loop, this time with the Mrs so will be lucky to crack 2 hours

Hope to be out on the loop soon, bike gets delivered this week.

Been stitched up on a charity bike ride in June so need to get some serious mileage in!

Does anyone know when it gets too hot to go out and cycle - obviously all relative and some people deal with the heat differently.

I prefer to cycle of an evening, and even a few weeks ago (before the rain came back) I was comfortable cycling at 32c, albeit with 2ltr of water.

I started cycling last September and it was pretty hot back then. This year I am planning on riding right through summer but cutting back on the distance.

I reckon an early start and finish in the dark is the plan for me, I recall getting up at about 4am when I started to beat the heat. The key is to keep the distance sensible, for me probably no more than the stick in the height of summer, and a metric fkton of water.

It took me a couple of minutes to work out who had yelled something out, as you went tanking past

All advice taken mate, this is all new to me, trying to find the sweet spot between spinning and grinding away

The wind over the first 12 k's was brutal, but was determined to get round the full loop

Impspeed - never too hot to cycle! as you say, either out early or late.

Jason, indeed takes a while. Well done on completing the loop. As I mentioned before, I would recommend the Cycle Safe Dubai rides - ride in a group with distances from 35km to 100km and various speeds.

Three weekends away and it was tough today. Just did the 65k with CSD, tough going but it was nice coming back with the wind behind us.

First time out on the road bike today and managed 60km round ranches - bloody boring!

Will have to get out on the loop for a change of scenery I think.
