Well done Jason - half an hour quicker, great work. Good to see you at the autodrome too. I think you are more than fast enough for the Cycle Safe Dubai rides - try either the 45km or 65km ride, and I am sure you will enjoy it, pick up some helpful tips, and riding with a group is much more enjoyable than on your own!

Or as another suggestion do the coffee run on a Saturday morning - Bab al Shams and back. 30km each way, and a coffee and a cake in the middle! Again lots of groups at different speeds.

Chessers is right. No problem you fitting in to the CSD rides, I started with the 35km at ~25km/hr and now go out on the 85km ride at 28/30km/hr... On Friday me and two others did 105km, but at our pace which was slow as the wind was against us coming back and it was hot! We also stopped and had coffee at 65km, very civilised.

Was looking at CSD today, looks like a pretty good set up.

Aiming to try the loop for the first time this weekend, can't take any more laps of Ranches.

Seems like it is impossible to get lost so should be ok

There were low numbers at CSD on Friday, but there was a Criterium at Mayden. The lowest km ride was 65km, but as you did 60km around the Ranches then it should be easy. + riding in a group is much easier.

Inspired by chessers riding round in circles in the ranches, going to attempt a double loop this Friday morning, that's the plan anyway

thats ambitious but you guys have been putting the miles in.

perhaps do the full stick and loop for 90km. park one car at the end of the stick as a 70km break option.

i want to join you but i'm supposed to be out on a work do thurs which never end well.

That was the original plan until the LR3 *hit itself yesterday, had to hire a Yaris and the logistics don't make it work

The benefit of my Ranches riding is that I'm never too far from home!

I would say that I am looking forward to Friday.................well I am at the moment, no doubt when we're 50km in with another 40km to go I may have a change of heart.

Bad crash in our group on the coffee run this morning, two people hospitalised including Stewart from CSD!

A good reminder to be careful, I had just dropped off the back coming to the roundabout, 40+ kph too much for me.

Ouch, sounds nasty.

Had an early ride this morning and the track was very quiet.

Jason, thanks for the invite on Friday mate, good to catch up with you and Chris
