Salah Yacine, the sales associate, kindly gave me the full tour today. The collection belongs to a Pakistani businessman.

Some photos. WOW.

I would say Double Dollar, but I think it may well be the case of triple dollar.

From what I can see, seems like he bought a shedload of nice cars and will only sell them to people with more money than sense and who cant be bothered to get cheaper elsewhere.

Anyone actually got a price from them? for anything?

nail>head

seems to be a fantasy collection which is also for sale at the right price. however that kind of st flies here so may be onto a winner.

what gets me is the stock list. 4 f40's, why?

the cars are definitely not priced to sell..its a case of if someone really wants one then the principal will sell at a price that the car can be easily replaced at full retail ...plus 15%.

who can blame the principal...money is not an issue and he clearly derives huge pleasure from the collection..the best thing is that he drives many of the cars including the cal spyder!

in which case why build a showroom to flaunt the wealth? if it's not a business, it's crass.

Actually I kind of get it, assuming it can be visited by the public. Like a gallery or museum. I also assume he doesn't really want or need to sell. It doesn't sound like a quantifiable business to me and perhaps he just wants to share the love?

Personally I would have blown it going racing but different strokes etc.

its a corporate hq...the land is prime real estate and is a great investment. in addition he enjoys sharing his great fortune..his cars are displayed at Ferrari world and were at f1.

Valid, nice to see them on display. Good lad. And good to hear he wants people to see them and drives them.

Also look at the fact that the longer many of the cars sit there, as part of a collection and in a gallery, they also appreciate in value.

He's got a shed load of money, bought a shed load of cars, can enjoy them and have them sat there to look at; if someone comes and offers him a load of money now = win. If someone offers him an even bigger pile of money in 5 years = bigger win.

Hats off to the man. It's not everyday you get to see such stunning machines up close. Sitting in the 288 GTO was an experience!

It's an incredible collection and right on our doorstep.

Are there any other "classic car" places here, where cars are priced to sell? A colleague at work is looking for a 1960's Mustang (or similar).

Thanks

I heard a rumour the 4 where rejected by a Saudi Sheikh for having too many km's on the clock but are owned by him not the showroom here, not entirely sure if any truth in it however.

somehow, buying 4 x $1m cars sight unseen without checking they were what you wanted is totally believable for saudi.

i'd take one even if it'd been round the clock.
