Help !!!!!!!
Due to arrive in Dubai in Feb / Mar 2015.
Got a proper deal [oil and gas engineer], and am allocated 6500 USD / month for accomodation, utilities and a car.
1. Where do we stay [just my wife and I].
2. What car do I buy. Thinking a Golf GTI as it'll cart pushbikes to the "facilities".

Also, I train triathlon - Assume good poools, etc all available, etc.

HELP !!! All advice appreciated !

TLR.

Can't help on location as I'm in Abu Dhabi, but on the triathlon's you'll have an abundance of choice.

It is pretty much perfect weather for 9 months of the year, before going nocturnal during the summer months.

Only issue I find is there's no hills to train on your doorstep like you'll be used to in Aberdeenshire.

TriDubai is the club you'll want to contact, and premieronline.com is the site to track most upcoming events.

The only thing lacking is a full IM distance race, but this winter there's 3 half IM races (not branded), and an abundance of Olympic, Sprint etc.

Have fun!

Where will your office be?

Do you want to live in a Villa or an Apartment?

Do you really want to drive a 4 pot in the land of free petrol?

Agreed - I don't even know how much it costs per litre as never bothered to look!

I think it's 28p a litre for full fat Super.

Tbh, I'm not exactly sure - it's so cheap I don't even think about it - Costs 15 quid to fill up the Cayman.
