Anyone with UKTV
Discussion
I spoke to a guy who works for Bein sports the other day, he says they are well into the process of shutting down UKTV and other providers, not sure if this has anything to do with the issues. Apparently BEIN, Sky, and the BBC have a major major issue with this now.
Only problems I have are videos on demand and Sky Sports decides it wants to go into standby mode halfway through a game. Thank f$£k its international week and no decent games on.

That was always going to happen, just luck whether they stop it at the beginning of your subscription or if your lucky near the end.Seems ok for me but coming up to renewal soon, so will be a big decision.
I've already asked them for a partial refund as VoD never works. Might start initially, but I've yet to watch a full movie on it.
Catchup works most of the time, but flaky in the evenings.
Live TV seems to be ok at the moment, which is what I mainly use it for.

I've posted earlier in this thread. I do wonder if you guys have purchased a different solution to what I have?!
I have very few issues with watching TV, or catch up. Occassional issue with BBC and Channel 4 catch up, but aside from that as long as I keep the software updated it works fine. For 35 Euros a month - I find it pretty good. Also - pointing to suspicion that you have a different solution to me - I pay monthly. If the service got bad, I can just stop it. No need to sign up for a year.

Need a massive favour from someone.
My box appears to have factory reset and UKTV and I need the portal settings from someone if possible? I managed to get back into settings, so hopeful that I can get it back up an running.
UKTV company appear to have done a runner now. Messages don't get through on their FB profile.
Hoping I can a few more months from it yet.

Managed to get it sorted.
Pure luck lead me to the portal details and after some other tweaks I managed to get it working. It wasn't letting me do anything initially (DHCP loop), but then found the remote setting I needed to initiate a new setup.
I can relate to the 8pm onwards issues (we get those too), but last night once I was up and running seemed ok.

Fancy letting us in on what you did?
So it was basically showing a sky blue screen with DHCP counting over and over. No amount of rebooting or pressing any button on the remote did anything. Also there is no reset button on the box, and even plugging in a USB keyboard didn't help matters. After a quick google about for MAG254 reset I found the answer. Powering off the box, then pressing and holding the "three dots / three lines" button allowed me into the box bios. In here, I found the boot device was set to DHCP (hence the message). Toggle this screen and select NAND or NAND2, and allowed the box to reboot. Now I was getting somewhere and it booted into a applications screen with the familiar settings box present. After this I made my way back to the portal section and tried for the life of me to remember the portal address (reason for my message on here). After racking my brain, messaging people with the box, a bit of googling and blind luck I finally found the address I needed (tvonip.dk). Once I'd put this in and saved, I was in action. Just needed to do a quick firmware upgrade and set the ntp settings as I had no program information showing. Once that was done, I was back in action!
Ironically, it now seems better than ever and even video on demand is working!

Gave ours a reset last night, and update as you described, work perfectly all last night. Fingers crossed.
Brilliant!Long may it continue but I won't hold my breath. VoD has been the one thing that has always had issues for me. No idea if this reset helped of its co-incided with them sorting it out. Either way, i've been able to watch a few full VoD movies now without issue. Something i've never managed
