I'd better do the same.. Worst year for fines so far and for some reason I don't always get the SMS to tell me so that was a little shock when I checked. Couple of them I knew about and I'm normally pretty good with setting the cruise at 138 for the cruise down to Abu Dhabi, but had a mental block when I did the same heading through the centre of Dubai.. Oops..

Try the UK 12 points with an 3 year period and a 6 month ban go over 12 a second time 12 months third time 2 years

Big difference is the speed limits. Only people who don't get busted here are the numptys dawdling along in the RH lane with no idea how to drive.
Roads that would be 70MPH in England are 70KPH here, and that is exactly where they put the hidden cameras.

A quick update after a nice clean run from around April to December when I got 2 on a emergency vet trip (so don't count these!), I got 5 last week.

All on al Khalil street on way to work. Must be a hidden camera as I cannot see the camera despite looking out for subsequently.

Is this in the construction zone where there is an 80 limit (heading from Dubai towards Umm Suqqeim)?

I don't have any yet (and not a numpty driver at 40 under the limit in the outside lane BTW!)

It's a tiny bit between JLT and Tecom, somewhere. I was poorly one day and came home early and got done both ways, that's my defence I wasn't well that week and floating around on autopilot

Think I got another one on SZR heading towards AD by Marina Mall. Was only doing 110 (which I do every night) but I think that is an 80 zone, but first time camera has gone off on me there.

OK, I'm fine. Had me worried there as I've two settings on the cruise control - 118 in town and 138 in the boonies..

I have seen lots of flashes on the SZR and I'm wondering if its the new tailgating system I've heard about.

I checked on the website and I'm gobsmacked. ZERO fines. In 6 months. And I'dont hang around. I reckon there's a glitch in the system

The Jafza flyover camera is a bd, just around the corner, but if you look at the traffic, they ALL slow down to 60 just before the corner. That's my way to work so I'm aware of that one.
