Good non hotel family restaurants in Abu Dhabi

Hi guys

bit of a late post but spending a week in AD from tomorrow with the family and just wondered where you 'locals' go for good unpretentious food?

Chinese, lebanese, Mexican Italian whatever but with a 9 yo and a 12 yo nothing too fancy please

Hanoi on Khalifa Street, Lebanese Flower on Defense Road, Cafe Arabia on 15th Street, the cafe on the roof of Central Market - all pretty cheap but no booze.

Pregos (Italian) in Beach Rotana is great to sit out and serves booze and pork. Bentley at Al Sowwah Square Mall is good with a great view over the city but a little more pricey.

Grand Central Station burger joint is a fantastic little place - ask the taxi for Al Mamoura, it's the little burger shack next to the mosque. All the seating is outdoors so only go in the evening.

Yas Marina restaurants are great.

There is also Johnny Rockets at Yas Marina Circuit. Great fot the kids
